Why

I had web-sites hosted on AWS server and was looking to migrate them all to static sites on S3... so am looking a pelican to replace all my old Java Wicket web sites.

• It's cheaper

  • S3 is cheaper than hosting an AWS box

• It's faster

  • Static sites are going to render quicker

• Less maintenance

  • Occasionally AWS servers need to be shutdown and replaced.
